Compiling the operating results of publicly traded restaurant companies, this report looks at costs of sales across all segments for food and beverage. ![foodservice](https://info.machen.cpa/hs-fs/hubfs/Machen-Blog-Image/foodservice.jpg?width=300&name=foodservice.jpg)At a glace, we can see that same-store sales improved across the board in 2014. The top segments? Fast Casual and Pizza saw growth with an increase of 5.4% and 4.5% respectively. Top players in each category were Chipotle (fast casual) and Papa Johns (pizza). Chipotle showed growth of 16.8% and Papa Johns showed 8.2%, both due to an increase in guest traffic. Overall, cost of sales for the industry remained the same despite increasing commodity prices.  Interested to see how your restaurant stacks up against the industry?
